PERSIAN ACADEMY AWARDS ANNOUNCED By SR
September 10th, Budapest - Winners of the Persian Academy Awards 2005 in Budapest have been announced according to organizers of the PAAI.  This year, the academy has chosen a list of well-known and respected artists and contributors in each category to present and recognize. Among the categories are awards for Persian Music, Literature, Drama/Fine Arts, and a Special Award of the Year.
Of the four awards handed to Iranians around the world, one was bestowed to Behrouz Vossoughi, well-known actor and respected artist.
Mr. Vossoughi, who has over 40 years of experience in the motion picture industry, was among other artists such as
Monireh Maleki, Niloofar Beyzaie, and Massoud Assadolahi in this category. Behrouz Vossoughi has been featured in more than 90 films in his life time, having earned international recognition at several international film festivals. In his filmography are such films as “Ghaisar“ ( 1967), “Reza Motoro" (1968) and ”Tangseer" (1974).
