The Iranian foreign born are a relatively new population whose migration to the United States started around the time of Islamic revolution. As a result, there are very few Iranian professionals in the field of Psychology, thus very limited body of knowledge on Iranian immigrants in the United States. My interest in this study is due to my wish to learn more about the attitudes of this group in order to help the professionals in the field of psychology to better understand and serve this group of individuals. Your contribution will result in further acknowledgment and recognition of this invisible minority group.

More about Me and My Research
I am a fourth-year student at the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology and am currently involved in a research project which addresses the attitudes of female Iranian immigrants toward professional psychological help. This study is being performed as partial fulfillment of the requirements for my Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD) degree in clinical psychology at the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology.
You qualify for participation if:
You are a female
You are between the ages of eighteen (18) to thirty (30) years old
You are enrolled in a college or university
You were born in Iran and now live in the United States.
Participation in this study is completely voluntary and you may withdraw at any point without penalty. As part of your participation you will be asked to fill out a background questionnaire and two (2) brief instruments that will take approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete. The data gathered from the research is confidential and will be used for research purposes only. Identifying information of participants will not be used as surveys are anonymous.
