Persian of the Day: Darius Kadivar
December 14th: Happy Birthday, Darius! Mobarak, Mobarak, Darius!
Paris-based Darius Kadivar was born to an Iranian father and a French mother. Darius is a consummate Freelance Journalist at Large! In addition, he is a Film Historian, Film Reviewer and Media Consultant.
Darius is probably the most passionate Persianist and Iranist on the planet, constantly digging and bringing to light anything and everything of the past and the present that relates to Persia and Iran.
He ensures everyone is up to date with anything significant about Iran and Iranians.
Thanks be to the Gods Darius is only half Iranian. Otherwise some of us might go blind early from reading his almost daily compelling essays and fascinating news bulletins about Iran and Iranians!

I first leant about Darius through this learned article, ‘Hollywood and Ancient Persia’:
www.newrozfilms.com/hollywood_persia.htm. You can also read his complete PersianMirror profile.
A prodigious humanist and original journalist Darius generously contributes his ubiquitous articles to PersianMirror.com, Iranian.com, Payvand.com, Irandokht.com and many other magazines and media.
I had the pleasure of meeting Darius during a special screening of David & Layla in Paris. He is as colorful, incisive, film and art lover, and compassionate humanist - and a bon vivant! - as reflected by his eclectic work.
Bonne Anniversaire! Long Live Darius Jan!
