Two Powerhouses Promise A Fantastic Show

The Translation Project and Beyond Persia have put together a fantastic few days filled with art, films, discussions and live music. The show includes notables like Richard Jeffrey Newman, as well as Moniru Ravanipur, leading a discussion on “Why Iranian Literature is not World Literature (yet)”.
From Niloufar Talebi’s amazing Translation Project, Icarus will also presented. This multi-media artwork connects the myth of Icarus with the migration of Iranians and the solitary journey of the artist/migrant in the quest for freedom. Between Lale Welsh’s ingenious program selection and Niloufar Talebi’s creative energy, you won’t want to miss a minute of this!
