The famous footballer Ali Daei may be retired, but he still loves the sport, and his fans love him as much. Since his retirement earlier this year, he has not sit still, becoming the manager of Iran’s Saipa F.C. With a long and successful career spanning more than 23 years, Daei has reached legend status due to some incredible games and records in the sport.
Having been named top scorer in official international competitions by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS), Daei managed to score 20 goals in competitive matches for Iran, including the amazing 4 goal stunt against South Korea in the 1996 Asian Cup. This was a defining moment in his career. By the end of that important tournament Daei had scored 29 goals with 38 appearances for Iran.

Among his amazing records, Ali Daei was the top international goal scorer and still holds this record today. His total score of goals is at 109 and behind him in second place is Hungary’s Ferenc Pukas at only 84 goals.
