Kaweh is creating quite a stir amongst Latin and Flamenco music lovers in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. His vision for diversity in music is quickly becoming reality.
Kaweh is going on tour with two performances planned. The first is a performance at the Kuumbwa Jazz Center, on Saturday August 18, 2007. Then on Saturday August 25th, Kaweh brings together an “all star” group of musicians and dancers for an evening of Rumba Flamenca and Salsa at the Avalon.

Persian/German Guitarist/Vocalist “Kaweh” is accompanied by Cuban vocalist/guitarist “Kenia Rodriguez”, bassist “Mark Kraft” from Los Angeles, up and coming multi-instrumentalist “Willie  Garza” and Uruguayan vocalist/congero “Edgardo
Cambon” of the legendary San Francisco groups “Sol Y Luna” and “Candela”.

Joining KAWEH on stage is nationally touring Flamenco sensation “La Fibi”, (“Evocative and Sultry Energy” Santa Cruz Connection”) who was also a core member of the legendary Sol Y Luna  group.  Bringing her seductive art to the stage is internationally renowned belly dancer and popular model for Arabic-themed print advertisements “Sandra”. International performer,  educator, special guest artist percussionist Dror Sinai joins the ensemble bringing his energy and positive vibrations on the Middle Eastern
percussion.

“Orquesta Saboricua”, a ten piece salsa group kicks off the night with their traditional authentic sounds. The group’s members hail from as far as Puerto Rico, Venezuela, New York and the San Francisco Bay area.
