long the trails of Darakeh, there are tea houses where you can rest, sit on a Persian carpet bed, and sip some piping hot tea. In the spring you can find an abundance of shahtoot, or mulberries. The shahtoot fruits are large, plump and delicious. It is best to start out for Darakeh early in the morning, before the sun rises too high in the sky. If you go early and on a Friday, you will find that you are not alone. Thousands of Tehranis are there for hiking and to spending time in natural wonders.
