Such is the irony in Hollywood. With too much supply and not enough demand, more and more Iranian actors are taking roles as Iraqi's, a role that has become hotter and hotter with the current administration.
Vida Ghaffari, Max Amini, Hossein Nosar and Shari Vasseghi are a great example of this. They appeared recently on Comedy Central's 'Mind of Mencia' in a sketch that is a spoof of 'Deal or No Deal' called 'Deal or We Kill Your Whole Family.' Ghaffari and Amini play an Iraqi husband and wife team. Fresno native Shari Vasseghi plays Amini's worrisome mother. Hossein Nosar plays an Iraqi guard.
Vida writes, 'I thought I'd submit this, because in a town as big as LA, hundreds of people audition for so few acting jobs, so I find it ironic that 4 Eeroonis booked the same show all as Iraqis no less!'
