The following is a photo essay from the Persian Day Parade held in New York City on March 25th, 2007. The Parade celebrates the Persian New Year which marks the coming of spring. Thousands of fans and spectators lined Madison avenue to cheer on the floats, and happy faces.
Persian dances from Iran were a big part of this year's event, where different dance groups performed traditional Persian dances from all parts of Iran in their colorful costumes.
