Dizin was established in 1969. It has a reputation for excellent snow, because of its altitude (one of the world's 20 highest ski centers) and the north facing slopes. Dizin ski amenities include two hotels, 19 cottages and 5 restaurants. People from all around the country come to ski in Dizin and you can see all ages, and kinds of people enjoying the sunshine and powder in the winter months.

The ski activity in Dizin complex is not confined to the winter season. Nice hotels, villas and private apartments around the Dizin ski resort accommodate thousands of people every year. This includes the visitors who come during off season to go hiking, picnicing or just taking in some fresh air in the mountains. Dizin is only a two hour drive from Tehran, so many people also come for the day and it provides a beautiful escape from the traffic and pollution of Tehran.
